 BIRT Issue

H All,

Appreciate any pointers as can't find any error in logs etc.

I've developed a report that I'm able to run on Eclipse BIRT to preview without any issues. However, when importing it into Maximo and trying to run it I get the below error:
 "There was an exception on the server. Check your report parameter values, or contact your system administrator, who can find additional details in the server log".

Hello Amit, did you check the Sysout  log files for more error details? you will usually find more info regarding the error there.
I am thinking the issue might be with how the  parameters are added when registering  and importing the report in Maximo. Check that properly.

Hello Amit,

Do you want to share the report file so I can look at it?
If you are using out-of-the-box Maximo fields, I can analyze the report file and try to run it in my Maximo Test environment.

Hello Amit,

Since the report runs in report designer did you add the parameters in maximo when creating the report?  Do you see the parameters to enter values when running the report in maximo?  If you did not add the parameters in maximo that would cause your error. 
Also, you may need to increase the logging level for the report root logger to DEBUG and the birt logger to DEBUG to get more details about the error in the log files.

Thanks All for your replies , this issue is fixed now . Somhow there was a datasource which the BIRT designer was still picking up which was deleted from front end ..very wierd.
