I created an [Asset] Condition Assessment Inspection Report in BIRT (4.3.1) for use in IBM Maximo Asset Management 7.6.1.3 that include multiple images. The main Asset Image at the top of the report is source from the IMGLIB.IMAGE table.attribute.
It is referenced as a Dynamic Image in the BIRT Designer.
The rest of the Images (if they exists on the inspection) are in a sub table of the report. The Inspection Images at the sub table of the report are obtained by building a formatted URL string from the information in the DOCINFO.URLNAME table.attribute.
And are referenced as an URI in the BIRT Designer.
When I generate the report in Maximo and it is displayed in the Report viewer, everything looks great.
When I click the print Icon and choose the PDF format, none of the sub table images display on the report.
Instead, I get the message “The resource of this report item is not reachable.” in place of the images.
On the other hand, if I print the report in HTML Format. All the images are displayed.
It shows all the images.
In addition, I can even print that HTML report to a PDF after the report is displayed.
And all the image show (even though the report is missing some of the formatting).
QUESTION: What needs to be done to print the report in a PDF Format from the Maximo BIRT Report Viewer that will include the URI referenced images in the output of the PDF?
