 Conditional Sigoption on Advanced Search

I'm trying to conditionally display a field in the "Advanced Search" of a custom application. Associated the sigoption to the field, added condition and provided conditional properties but the sigoption doesn't seem to be evaluated. Clearly its not able to identify a data source.

So I've added a datasrc with the object name, the sigoption did work after this but it broke the search functionality of the field.

I was wondering if I missed something or is there no way to have conditional sigoption in Advanced Search?

Have you tried datasrc as 'mainrecord' rather than specifying object name?

I have a custom dialogue in list tab. In the dialogue, SEARCHATTRIBUTE table with few sections. I tried with sigoptiondatasrc and still no luck. I associated the condition in security group with 1=2, but still visible. Main requirement is to hide based on user's Profile.
I used many prperties in xml for sigoption condtion like visible, display, hidden but no luck.
