I did transformations for an integration to JDE where I had to convert the dates to Julian. I've never heard of anyone trying to change core Maximo to store in that format so I'm not sure if that's possible. If this is for an integration, I'd consider doing the same (transforming when it's sent) because Julian date aren't very user friendly.

Working with date attributes is always a pain in the ass, especially in interfaces. If you need only an other format for display, you can use string attribute with a automationscript for conversion.

Thanks Steven and Ewald for your replies, what I have is a requirement to populate a custom attribute with a value that concatenates the julien date with the next value (count) for CM work orders for that specific day, it's a bit of an out-there requirement that I think I'm going to have to solution with an automation script.
