 Deletion of mbo/record not working with REST API in maximo 7.6

I am trying to remove/delete a mbo/record from the REST API os in maximo 7.6.1 but it is not at all working and remaining all create/update/read operations are working without any issue but only delete operation creating problem when we tried to post a rest message thru browser. So if anyone of you have idea or suggestion please help me.

You'll need to use the "x-method-override" header with a value of "DELETE".

Please be aware that most records in Maximo cannot be deleted if they have been used in any way. Status changes to INACTIVE or CLOSE may be the best option if you are unable to delete records due to Maximo business rules.
