 GL Component Value modifications

Good Morning,

We are switching over to a new finance system where our funding codes are going to be changing.  This means i'll need to modify the GL component values.  Under Chart of Accounts-GL Component Maintenance I see how to add a new GL component value, but is there a way to modify an existing?  It will let me change the Description but not the GL Component Value.

Hello Bill, From the maximo Front end (Chart Of Accounts - GL Component Maintenance), you would not be able to modify the existing GL Component Value , as there may be references of this identifier in multiple other tables. The GL Component Value field would become read only once it got created.

If you would like to modify the existing codes, you would need to perform an exercise to identify the tables the code was referred and update the impacted fields through database scripts.
