Hi Experts,

Can you please share some guides or technotes on how to import existing custom classes from a previous version of Maximo 7.6 to MAS9? We have recently upgraded 7.6 to MAS9 and there are custom classes needed to be migrated as well. Found this technote from IBM regarding configuring a bundle in the MAS workspace. We have created / packaged the classes and created similar folder structure where the custom classes are found.

Adding customizations - IBM Documentation

Thanks.

Regards,

Vincent

Hi Vincent,

Not sure if this helps, but I have had success adding custom classes to the Customization Archive section of the Workspace.

H @Allan Henle,

Thanks, are you referring to via the update configuration in MAS workspace > customization section? If yes then we have done this but configdb is now pending so the maxinst process was failing. this is why Manage wasn't being deployed.

Hi Vincent. Can you share the error message you are seeing on the maxinst pod? Why is updatedb/configdb failing?

Hi @Steven Snyder,

Thanks, issue was resolved.

The problem was that there was pending database configuration to be executed. This made the updatedb to fail and the Manage Operator was killing the Maximo deployment because of it.

Once the configdb was executed Manage has started correctly.
