We are also looking into this, but haven't developed anything yet. I'd be interested to see what others are doing

Wishing you well - we feed so much data into the systems it is nice to be able to share it in a way that decision-makers can process & receive it!

Keith, have you made headway into the Power BI Dashboards after your meeting your Director? We are looking at a similar requirement and started to focus on using it as a replacement of external reporting system we've had for many years. But using these dashboards as they were intended is the ultimate goal.

Hi Keith, I would like to know a bit more about how you get the data to flow from Maximo to power BI, do you just feed power BI with spreadsheets you query from Maximo or you have a direct connection that give you live data ?

I used a data connection within Power BI directly to Maximo DB. A couple of issues with this method. 1) The connection remained active for 8 hours and then drops the connection. (we are cloud hosted, vendor requires IP address to register every 8 hours) 2) To keep the data "live" Power BI would do data syncs and this would take a bit of time. With that said we are no longer going down the Power BI path because upper management wants the dashboard to be always up to date without my involvement and embedded in Maximo Start Centers. Next week KURVE is going to be installed on a 90-day trial in the development environment Maximo Products & Services (kurvesolutions.com)
