 Synonym Value of Status is not visible in Change Status Dialog

Hi Team,

In WOSTATUS domain, I created a synonym value of CLOSE status. Synonym Value is CLOSE_2 . 

Post creation this synonym value, I just ungrant CLOSE status in work order tracking application using security group for one of security group. 

Post ungrant status , if user from security group(For which we ungranted status) login , he is not able to see both CLOSE status and it's synonym status CLOSE_2 in change status dialog in workorder tracking application.Also tool Bar button CLOSE WORKORDER also not visible now.

Is there any option/customization/configuration available in maximo to just display SYNONym value CLOSE_2 in change status dilaog list  for that group's user ?

Hi Justin,

Are you getting any error  or it is simply not showing?
Here are few possible reasons,

  • The workorder data has different org/site to the synonym domain value
  • Security group restiction on SYNONYMDOMAIN (Global/Security group level)

Try enabling the SQL log at info level and replicate the issue. This will fetch the background query on filtering the status.

Hi Sankar,

There is sigoption for CLOSE status in security group which I unselected which is creating CLOSE status invisible including it's synonym.

Do we have any option to make Synonym value visible  even Sigoption is unselected to users for specific group?
