    Posted 2 days ago

Hello, I'm researching the Asset Calibration and Data Sheet Template functionality in MAS. When I open an existing data sheet (DEV environment for example, DS101) in the Data Sheet Template application and attempt to create a new Asset Function, I receive the following error:BMXAA0024E – The action ADD is not allowed on object PLUSCDSINSTR. Verify the business rules for the object and define the appropriate action for the object.Guidance suggests this is related to security group on the Data Sheet Template application or its underlying objects, but I'm not seeing any specific security group that control this.Would anyone know which security group or object controls this restriction so I can update the permissions accordingly?

    Currently on:

If the data sheet is in an APPR status it needs to be revised but you should get a different error in that scenario. It should be: "BMXAR0087E - You cannot add new rows to an approved Data Sheet.". I think in your scenario Maximo doesn't think your user has INSERT/SAVE access to the data sheet template application.

In a demo system, I think there are a few groups like ITASSETMGR group with the permission already. Or you can grant the permissions to the group you're in. Unlike some of the new MAS security groups with permissions for apps like the MAF configuration, in a customer system there shouldn't be a security group with permission to this application.
