  • 1.  Can a DB backup from MAS be used on a different server if you don't use the MongoDB from the original?

I stood up a quick dev environment and restored a backup of another Manage server to have certain data to work with. Manage works and I can add new users in MAS and they sync to Manage, but get an error when trying to list users in MAS and the maxadmin user isn't usable since I can't see it in MAS to edit it.

Is there a way to get the newly installed MongoDB working with the old Manage, or am I 100% going to need a backup of the MongoDB from the other server?

You can clear the masissuer field in the Manage database on the maxuser table & re-enable the masusersync cron task to have it push users from Manage to MAS as if it was a fresh 7.6.1.3 to MAS upgrade. Then login with the MAS superuser to reset the password.
