  • 1.  Field for hourly vs salary?

    Posted 02-29-2024 18:27

    Hi All,

Just wondering how do you track whether a person is salary or hourly (exempt or non-exempt)?

I've looked for a field that will do this and am not finding anything obvious. Googling didn't help.

In the Person app, there is a field called Employee Type (PERSON.EMPLOYEETYPE). The description says "The type of employee this person is, such as full time or a part time employee." Not exactly what I was looking for, but could be repurposed?

The only other thing I found was in the Labor app, a field called Labcode1 (2, 3) (LABOR.LABCODE1). The description says "Labor Code 1 xref to FM." I have a suspicion that this is a field we may have created, but haven't been able to confirm that yet.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey Rob,

We distinguish Hourly vs Salary in the Craft that we associate with each Labor record. Our pay grade structure was setup so that each pay grade has a unique grade level number and a suffix with indicates Hourly or Salary.
