    Hi Everyone, 

    I have been creating custom BIRT reports for a few months. Even though I am able to pull all the data I need, I believe that the BIRT reports are not the prettiest. Especially when presenting them to upper management. I have been trying to find a way to connect BIRT reports to Tableau, but I haven't been successful at finding anything I like. I know that some people write Python scripts in Jupyter notebook to extract the reports into sql, but I'd like to see if there is an easier way.

    Has anyone tried to integrate their custom BIRT reports with Tableau? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    1. BIRT report is inbuilt report engine like Tablue so running it from directly or any other kind of integration with Maximo is not possible w/o customising ReportService Classes.
    2. If you want to use Tablue report then you need to do it outside of Maximo by connecting DB directly from Tablue. People also use Power BI in similar ways.

    Thank you, Prashant. If DBeaver is my database tool, I would need to connect DBeaver to Tableau, correct?

    I think you'd want to connect directly to the database. They support many databases, SQL Server, Oracle, IBM BD2. I see they have 77 connectors including ODBC and JDBC. I use Tableau with Oracle and it works great.
