Good Afternoon,

I have placed two fields on the service request(SR) view application, the second field is the status of the work order created from the SR. I'm trying to place some help, or legend showing what the different statuses mean. However if I use the Help Grid the list will only display to the length of the label.

If I extend the label length in the above field, Work Order Status, if displays the Help Grid correctly, but shifts everything to the right

Is there a better approach to showing help in this manner ? Or how can I make this work correctly ?

Thanks

Good Afternoon,

Turns out I can use the Static Text object with some HTML formatting and this seems to disregard the parent DIV width. Thanks for the suggestions.

Good morning Keith,

I must be missing something.  A given SR can have multiple work orders and other records generated from it, so I'm not sure what you're doing when they can simply go to the Related Records tab.

Good morning Craig

We create a single work order from the SR; the work order, of course, could have multiple child work orders. That's okay we are only interested in showing the parent work order number and status to the user. Any suggestions on the formatting of a legend below the WO status? I have tried formatting with <DIV><SPAN> but it is always defaults to the parent application generated <DIV>, I think. Thanks.

Hi Keith!

I have found it necessary to put the help grid / text into its own section directly below the section that contains the data attribute fields.  Then, the grid text / content will extend the entire width of the column :o)
