Hi Jhonatan,
Thanks a lot for the prompt response. I changed the 'Default' input to 'blank' and the value now displays. I really appreciate your help.
Thank you again!

Hello,
Can you confirm if the attribute you updated with your domain is persistent? Also, in the application designer, try changing the 'Default' in the input mode to 'blank'.
I assume the values in your domain don't exceed the character length of your field. Give it a try and see if that helps with the issues.
Thanks

Subject: ComboBox Field Not Saving Value
Hello folks,
I am working on configuring a ComboBox in Maximo for the Work Order Tracking application. The goal is to allow only the Logistic user to select from three predefined values for the field RETURNREASON; I have created a domain with the same name in Database Configuration to hold the values - applied the configuration changes to the database; Configured the ComboBox in Application Designer and put the Input Mode as Default in order for the field to appear as a ComboBox . The attribute is set as ALN with a length of 50, and the domain is correctly associated with the attribute.
PROBLEM:
When I select a value from the ComboBox, the following issues occur:
ComboBox Value Not Saving: After logging in as Logistic user, choosing a value from the ComboBox and saving the work order, the selected value is not persisted. After reopening the work order, the selected ComboBox value is not visible.
ComboBox Field Not Updating: When I try to change the value in the ComboBox and save, no changes are reflected in the database.
- Save Button Not Activating: After selecting a value from the ComboBox, the Save button does not become active. The value is not being recognized as changed, so the work order cannot be saved.
Actions taken so far:
- I confirmed the ComboBox is properly bound to the RETURNREASON attribute in the Work Order table.
- I created and applied the RETURNREASON domain containing the three values to the ComboBox.
- The ComboBox input mode is set to Default.
- I checked that the RETURNREASON attribute is marked as persistent in Database Configuration and is associated with the Work Order object.
Any insights on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
